25 Obtainable Ways To Simplify And Improve Your Life

June 11, 2018 By Lynn Bryson Leave a Comment

For me, a simple life means eliminating all but the essential and spending time doing what’s most important.

If you’re interested in simplifying your life, this list of 25 obtainable ways will help you get there, little by little!

  1. Create a morning routine that helps you start each day off right.
  2. Choose an intention or a mantra for the week.
  3. Set timers to help you work with more focus and efficiency.
  4. Set alarms on your phone for positive habits you want to develop, such as taking vitamins or working out.
  5. Evaluate if there’s anything you can hire out. For example, hiring a cleaning service.
  6. Take a good look at your to-do list and cross things off that just don’t REALLY need to be done.
  7. Spend [much] more time outside.
  8. Every night when you’re in bed, plan the day ahead.
  9. Learn to prioritize quality over quantity.
  10. Donate items you no longer use.
  11. Take time to make weekly meal plans with corresponding grocery lists.
  12. Unsubscribe from any emails you’re not interested in.
  13. Clean up your inbox.
  14. Automate bill payments.
  15. Delete phone apps you don’t use.
  16. Unfollow people and pages on social media that take up too much of your time or don’t improve your mood.
  17. Read more, watch less.
  18. Have a “do nothing” day, regularly.
  19. Turn your phone off on the weekends for a “phone detox.”
  20. Say no to obligations you can miss.
  21. Schedule date nights.
  22. Have family nights. Watch a family movie, play games and just spend time together without your phones.
  23. Cancel subscriptions you don’t use or overuse to the point that they aren’t adding value to your life.
  24. Find a carpool mom you can swap weeks with.
  25. Spring clean your fridge and pantries and make meals around what you already have.
