Does your today ever take a back seat to your tomorrow? How many times have you said to yourself “I’ll do that tomorrow”? Do you tell yourself that you’ll do better tomorrow? That you’ll start that diet tomorrow? That you’ll start living life tomorrow?
What about today? Today is right in front of you. It’s in the palm of your hands right now.
Here are 6 things you need to know about today:
Today is a gift. Each day you wake up, open your eyes and get out of bed you’ve been given a gift. The gift is time. Time to spend with the people you love, time to live life to the fullest, time to do what you were made to do, time to be who you want to be.
Today is the sign you’ve been looking for. If you’ve been looking for a sign, today is it. The fact that you’re here -living and breathing- is a sign. That sign is telling you that you’re meant to be here. There is something that you have to offer and today is your opportunity to share it with the world.
Today doesn’t guarantee tomorrow. We all know this to be true. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. So don’t waste today spending time thinking about tomorrow. Spend your life in the present.
Today is yours. Today is a gift to YOU. Your life is no one else’s to live. It belongs to you to do with what you will. Treat is as your own. Don’t give your today to the wrong people and the wrong things.
Today has value. It is the most valuable thing you have, whether you’re a billionaire or are pinching pennies, today is your most valuable asset. Don’t view it as a cheap commodity. It’s worth more than gold and silver. Today has value. Spend it wisely.
Today is all you need. This day is all you need to change your life, to live fully and to love greatly. Today embodies everything you’ve ever needed to live life like there’s no tomorrow.
LOVE! What great words for starting my week off right!! <3
Today IS a gift!!!!! I wake up every day thanking God for another one!! 🙂
I love the last one. It’s such a great reminder!
I have such a hard time not staying in the moment. I think ahead. I think about the past. It robs me of the present.
This is exactly what I needed to read today. Thank you! ~Sammy
Number 2!! So inspiring. What a great post. *sharing* 🙂
This is all so true. Life gets too busy to remember this sometimes though. But if we all keep this in mind maybe we’d be more mindful of how we live.
Most of the time my today has a back seat to my today. I mean that I don’t get a lot of happiness day to day. It’s like every day is wasted away.
