Do you ever feel like no one is rooting for you? Does it ever feel like the universe is conspiring against you?
When we feel passionate about something it’s only natural that we want everyone around us to be just as excited. But the truth is that your passion is YOURS. It’s unique to you and because of that not everyone will be able to relate to your excitement.
I saw a post the other day that read something like this… “If you’re disappointed in the church it’s because you put your faith in its people and not God.”
I believe this translates perfectly to the way we sabotage ourselves when we put our faith in other people when we should really have faith in ourselves and the plan that God has for us.
When you go looking for confirmation, more often than not, you’ll come back disappointed.
Even when you’re trying to better yourself, make a positive impact and help other people in the process, you won’t always have people backing you up.
When you feel insecure and uncertain you have to make a choice. You have to choose to believe in yourself despite what anyone else says, because faith in yourself is all you have in times of self-doubt.
Passion is a beautiful thing. It’s something worth sharing with others and also something worth protecting. Who you share your passions with is important. There are people out there who really need to connect with you. If you’re focused on people in your life who don’t seem as enthusiastic as you are about your work then the people who really need to hear everything you’re sharing will miss out.
Go in search of those who need what you have to give. Believe that you have value, no matter what others say, and go out there and share that value with the world.
And share your passion here with us in the comments below. You NEVER know who might need just what you have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can relate to this. For years I wanted my husband to be just as excited as I was about my career. I am so passionate about it. I finally realized that he couldn’t relate because he wasn’t passionate about his. That became a problem for our marriage. Unfortunately, we didn’t last, but today I’m with someone who can understand that passion I have for my work because he is passionate about his.
My passion is teaching. I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I teach 5th graders and love every day of it.
I’m passionate about the planet. I’ve been an advocate for a number of organizations over the years and there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.
I’m passionate about architecture. I’ll be going back to college to study it this fall.
I’m passionate about helping people meet their fitness goals. I’ve seen health bring people so much happiness. It’s a beautiful thing to witness and I get to be apart of their journeys.
I have a passion for helping others 🙂
It’s hard to believe in yourself when no one else does. Most of my family doesn’t understand my dreams. They put me down and sometimes ridicule me.
