We live in a materialistic society. Our world teaches us that we should constantly be in a state of acquisition in order to be happy. If we aren’t staking our claim on daily accomplishments we surely can’t call ourselves “successful”- or so we’re taught to believe.
There is a clear difference between having more and being more. The greed of wanting to have more takes away from the freedom we can obtain from being more.
You can either greedily fight tooth and nail for the job of your dreams or you can make your work apart of your very being and become the leader/ thinker/ game changer that you want to be without being driven by selfish desires, but rather the spiritual soundness of the heart.
Greed tells us that we don’t have enough -nor will we ever- and it doesn’t allow things to be given freely to us. Our greed takes before something is offered to us. In a greedy state you are heading straight towards negative consequences. When you act greedily in relationships you see your marriage, friendships and professional relationships die. You may also watch your career die at the hands of your greed. Nothing is exempt from deadly consequences when we are driven by selfish desires.
However, when you strive to be more you open the floodgates of prosperity. People will give you honor and respect. Your relationships will thrive and your professional life will have no limits.
Being more puts your heart in a state of wholeness. With this attitude you have enough, are enough and will be given more than enough.
Don’t allow your greed to drive you. Turn your focus on what you can be instead of that you want to acquire. A redirection of focus will give you more than you’ve ever wanted and all you’ve ever needed.
