The Importance Of Love On Our Health

Though there’s a lot of emphasis put on the importance of a healthy diet, exercise and sleep on our health (and rightfully so), there is one factor that beats out the rest of them when it comes to its healthful benefits, and that is love.

Love and connectedness rank above all else when it comes to longevity and wellness.

Did you know that married people have fewer doctor’s visits? Or that healthy relationships can lower blood pressure and ease anxiety? Or what about this… when you’re in a strong long-term relationship your brain is activated in a way that helps you manage pain better. Wounds heal faster. You get fewer colds. Stress is easier to manage. And above all, you live an overall longer, healthier life.

But not just any relationship can do these things. Studies have found that stable long-term relationships are superior to new romances.

Life and love go hand in hand. Without love what is life?

Love is something everyone is in search of. We don’t need doctors to tell us how good love feels. It’s a universal truth that love is worth fighting for. It’s what completes our lives. Without it what would we have? Nothing at all.

What makes up a strong, healthy, loving relationship? Many, many factors, including these…

    Trust is hard for me in relationships. I’ve been cheated on by 3 different men. I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to trust again. I trusted 3 times and have had my heart broken.
