Restore Your Faith In You And In Others

January 23, 2017 By Lynn Bryson 3 Comments

Does life ever get you down? Do you ever lose faith in yourself and others?

People will let you down from time to time. You’ll let yourself down too. Lucille Ball once said “One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn’t pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.”

Are you ready to restore your faith in yourself and others?

Be Generous: Helping others is the greatest gift we can offer the world. We even have the ability to give generously to ourselves as well. Give yourself time, space and love. “Every sunrise is an invitation for us to arise and brighten someone’s day.” Richelle E. Goodrich

Find Inspiration: When you feel dull and your imagination feels bland, restore your curiosity with inspiration. Go out and find things that peak your interest.

Surround Yourself With People You Admire: We are who we spend our time around. This is proven. If you want a restored faith in humanity (or in yourself) surround yourself with people who lift you up and who inspire you to be better through example.

Feed Your Curiosity: Being curious makes us feel alive. When the desire to try something new comes along, grab it by the horns. “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.” Albert Einstein

Volunteer: Give of your time to a good cause and you’ll ultimately surround yourself with people of the same generous mindset.

Look For The Good: As Lucy said, be optimistic! You have goodness in you whether you believe it or not. And others do too. Instead of looking for the bad, look for the good.

Show Appreciation: Self-appreciation is hard to come by sometimes isn’t it? You work so hard at so many things. The least you deserve is acknowledgement from yourself that you’re doing alright. At the same time, telling someone you appreciate them has powerful effects. So often people feel like their efforts go unnoticed. When we know we’re appreciated our outlooks change.

Which one of these 7 things could you do right now to restore your faith in yourself? Answer in the comments!

I strive to surround myself with people I admire, like you suggest. Some have become close friends too!
