The Role Your Gifts Have: The Bigger Picture

May 16, 2016 By Lynn Bryson 3 Comments

God is always at work in our lives whether we realize it or not. His influence on our lives is complex and often misunderstood because sometimes we fail to see the bigger picture.

God wants us to use our knowledge (whatever it may be in) as a platform for greater understanding. He wants us to learn all that we can about ourselves and how He wants to use us. In giving us knowledge His hope is that we expand on it and use what we learn for great meaning.

Each and every child of God is given various gifts that have originated from his spirit. This gives these gifts the power to reach the masses because they are blessed by the heavenly father.

There are many working parts that make up God’s work. Some people are given the gift of words, others are given the gift of public speaking, some are given the gift of prayer and others the gift of giving. One might seem more appealing than another, but God wants you to know this; that you are part of the big picture. Just like the body needs all of its organs to function properly and to thrive, God needs all of his people with their many gifts to help His message reach those who need to hear it.

The church is a complete body that works together. Without all their many gifts, God’s people wouldn’t be as strong as they need to be: if one part of the body flourishes every other part benefits.

You mustn’t forget that you have a place in the body of Christ. Only if you accept your part can your part have meaning.

Share below what you believe is your role in the body of Christ. We’d love to hear and it will encourage all of us to figure out our role as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My calling is to be an artist. THis wasn’t always clear to me. I tried so many other things for most of my life, but I kept coming back to art. Then after I lost my job I finally said that’s it I’m going to follow my passion for art. Now I have the best job in the world.
