Stop Putting Off Your Passions

June 6, 2016 By Lynn Bryson 6 Comments

Your time living this fun thing we call life is very limited. No one knows how much longer they have, so why waste it doing anything other than what you’re passionate about?

You have to start by creating time for what you love. Just like your relationships need special time to flourish, what you’re passionate about needs the same attention from you.

Guard your time like it’s the last cookie on the plate! Time is precious. If we don’t guard it we’ll lose it to something less important. You don’t want to spend your time on less important things do you? You want to spend your time on things that make your heart sing!

When you put energy into your passions you get energy in return. Passion is one of the only things in life that -even when we’ve given it our last moment of our day- it leaves us energized.

Do you want to be one of those people who look and act truly alive? Do you know what all of those people have in common? They live lives filled with passion. They’re grateful for each and every day because they count their blessings.

You see, when you live a life driven by passion your blessings pop out at you. You better understand the importance of gratitude. But, if you’re unable to appreciate what you have now, positive changes to your life in the future won’t be enough to make you appreciate life fully then.

Because passion and gratitude are each better when in the presence of the other, it’s important not to have one in your life without the other.

Are you feeling lost reading this? Are your passions a mystery to you? Here’s my tip. Follow joy. Ask yourself what brings you joy.

Chances are, what brings you joy is also what you’re curious about. Finding joy and curiosity in something is what sparks passion.

I’ve read a lot about passion. I used to have a passion for painting, but it’s been put on the back burner for so many years that I don’t know if I still really have it.

I don’t know if I’ve ever really felt passionate about anything. There are things I like to do, but I don’t really feel “passionate” about them. Wonder if there’s something else out there for me.

It sure is! Life here on earth is limited. And we have to live every day like it’s our last!
