You -just like the rest of us- have a purpose. We all do, yet some of us aren’t living the lives we were born to. Why? Because we aren’t living as our true selves.
Our true selves consist of our talents and gifts (among many other things), whether we were given the gift of compassion or the gift of design. Your gifts are the parts of you that should be developed; the parts of you that should be shared with the world.
Did you know that having a sense of purpose can help you live longer?
A study done by assistant professor of psychology at the Carlton University in Ottawa, Canada, Patrick Hill, showed that people who felt a greater sense of purpose had a 15% lower risk of death compared to their peers who lived aimlessly.
Using our gifts does more than just make us happy, it fulfills us in such a way that our life has greater meaning.
Who You Were Born To Be:
It may feel like an impossible quest- finding out who you were truly born to be- but deep down there is something within you that you know holds the key.
What would you do for the rest of your life, for free, if money was no object? The answer to this question is the person you were born to be. It is what makes you feel alive and fulfilled.
That’s not to say that you have to do what you love for free. Today we can follow any dream and make it into a career.
When you deny who you were born to be you live with a sense of regret. This regret will follow you throughout your life, until the day you decide to go for it… to be the person you were put on this earth to be. Will you make today that day?
